Club Ride - Saturday 14th February

Forecast looks a bit better than the last few weeks, a balmy 5C and only a light northerly wind

Plan this week will be to meet at the main car park in Brookley Road Brockenhurst for 0850 and a 0900 depart.

Route will be as follows:

Brockenhurst, Balmer Lawn Beaulieu, Hill Top, Exbury, Lepe, Calshot, Dibden Purlieu, Ipley Cross, Lyndhurst, Emery Down, Bolderwood, A35, Burley. Brock
That will be 50 miles and at a winter pace of 16MPH just over 3 hours

For those wanting a 30 mile route peel back to Brock from Hill Top and back via Hatchet Pond and Balmer Lawn

Plenty of chance for some through and off drills this week as we battle against the wind!

Club Ride Saturday 7th February

Weather forecast looks OK, not forecast to drop below freezing tonight and no rain forecast so hopefully no ice. If anybody sees good reason to delay the start please email me or add comment to the blog by 0730 and we will delay the start. Otherwise it just looks like a day for layers, hats and double gloves.

This weeks club ride will be as follows:

Start 0900 from the main car park in Brookley Road Brockenhurst
Out via Wilverley, Burley, Braggers, Crow, Moyles Court, Harbridge, Fordingbridge. Return via Stuckton, Frogham, Ogdens, Mockbeggar, Red Shoot. And then at the end of the 2.5 mile strip of the old airfield we’ll add a bit of intensity with one or two repeats of the road across Ocknells Plain.

Pace for the ride will be 16MPH but we will add some zone 3 efforts on the rides on the old airfield road.

Return to Brock via Ornamental Drive.

Distance 50-55 miles depending on how many repeats of the airfield we do.
